Feyhallow comes around every year and this was the year that Mina wanted the perfect costume. She was an apprentice seamstress and she had picked up quite a few tricks on how to sew. Minako was going to make the most beautiful dress the world of Eyre had ever seen, well at least to her eyes. As she looked at her mannequin and what looked like a mostly assembled ball gown, the finishing touch was missing to her creation. She thought that once she finished it and everyone saw her dress she would become the most famous seamstress in all of Eyre. This little one had big dreams and for them to become reality she had to travel. Travelling wasn’t exactly her favorite thing to do, she was more comfortable around her fabrics, threads and needles. But if Mina wanted the perfect creation to dazzle all she needed to adventure to get the fabric herself. Through her mentor and customers she had heard about this shimmery sheer fabric that sparkled like stars, which she was going to adorn her gown with. It was only found in one place, Silveil City and that’s where she was going. 

 

Having heard what Silveil was famous for she had made sure to secure her money as what she was looking to buy cost a pretty penny. Minako had been saving for months for this piece of fabric, it would be a shame if someone got their grubby paws on her hard earned money. Being a seamstress had its perks as she was able to fashion herself a money pouch that no one could easily get into. She finally set her eyes on the city of stars as people had described it. The luminescence and stardust had her in awe. Mina had never seen so much light in such a dark environment. Maybe that was the wonder of Silveil City, it’s forever dark nights with it’s luminent city, it’s sky covered in stars and it’s bioluminescent flora. It was no wonder it’s streets never slept and neither did it’s residents. As much as she wanted to keep admiring the city and maybe do a bit of gambling, she was here for other reasons. Minako set her sights straight before she got sucked into the city forgetting why she was here and gambling away all her money. It seemed to be an easy city to get lost into and come out broke from and she no longer wondered why as she almost fell prey to it. “Not today” she told herself, taking a deep breath, taking out her map and instructions she set herself off to the location of the fabric she wanted to buy. 

 

As she was stepping out and further away from the busier city centre the streets were getting much darker, the alleys were getting narrower and less and less people were seen around it’s streets. Mina got a sharp chill down her spine thinking that she was all alone with no one to help her. What if she ran into a thief … or worse. Her mind started to race down to a dark path where she was starting to forget what she was here for as the fear started to set in. “I’m fine” she told herself “I’m fine” as she took a few more steps, her whole body shaking “I’m fine” , a few tears started to roll down her cheeks. The thought came to her that this was the worst idea she had ever had and that probably was never going to make it out of this city. Taking a deep breath she began to relax a little as her train of thought came back to her. She took more deep breaths and Minako became more relaxed as her anxiety started to fade. Plenty of people came to this city and made it out. In fact her mentor had come here so many times to seek out rare fabrics for her customers. Being a city where people acquired rare and sometimes contraband items. She now felt more at peace thinking she was going to be alright after all. Mina was thinking anyways she had been following the path for quite some time now that she should be almost at her destination. 

 

Sure the streets were darker here but maybe it was a better thing after all she wasn’t that fond of big crowds anyways and less chances of running into pickpockets. She looked at her map and as she thought the shop she had been seeking was just around the corner. The excitement built up inside of her as did the rush of adrenaline. Minako had made it, she was finally here.Without realizing that her little legs were about to give out from having done so much walking that she wasn’t used to. Sure she was used to standing up most of the day getting outfits and such ready but walking for hours was not something she ever did. “Phew” she exclaimed “I MADE IT” Mina looked at the shoppe sign “Starlit wonder fabrics”, barely even reading the sign she busted through the door. She couldn’t hold her excitement anymore. This was it she was finally about to pick out the most beautiful cloth she had ever set her eyes on. “WOW”, everywhere she looked she saw shimmery fabrics in all colours. The shop owner gave her a strange look as he saw her look as if she had just seen a mountain of gold, but to her it might as well have been. She still couldn’t believe her eyes; it was as if the gods had crafted this material. The sheer beauty of it and it’s stardust effect made it almost out of this world. After having looked around for some time and the shop owner getting slightly annoyed with this small kittom, Minako had finally picked which colour she wanted to add to her costume. She decided on a rosy pink sheer that had a reflection of purple to it. She knew that’s the one she had to have for her dress costume to be complete. After ordering 3 meters of it and having paid the merchant, now the thought came to her that she had to venture all the way back home. How far home was now the thought almost crushed her. “Well I got what I wanted” her little legs decided they could no longer keep going that tomorrow was another day. Her creation wouldn’t be finished today but at least she finally had it’s missing piece so her masterpiece could be completed. Well maybe it was only a masterpiece in her heart but maybe others would learn to see the beauty she saw as well. She was still a small kittom with big dreams.
