Kibo often sees the world in colors. 

...Well, all elnin do, of course, but for him, he attributes each region in Eyre to a unique color that represents the feelings he has when he walks through them. 

So what color would Ealei, home of the great Yggdrasil, be? Some might immediately say green, the color of the sacred tree that dwells there, and the color of the lush forest that grows from it. 

But when Kibo thinks of Ealei, he thinks…

Blue.

Vibrant blue, the color of life, the color of the crystalline waters that run through the region and connect the lands together. Blue like the sky that soars high above them all. Blue like the ocean from which Yggdrasil rises, ancient roots disappearing into the depths below. And blue like the mystical berries that grow bountifully from its branches.

There is green, of course. More green than blue that one can see with their eyes, maybe, but not with their heart. Not that they feel. At least not to Kibo. The leaves are always green here and there’s never a backdrop that isn’t dripping with natural beauty. Even the homes are built into the trees themselves, perfectly coexisting with nature without disturbing it. It can be a bit nerve-wracking at first to tread the wooden bridges that connect them, high in the canopies, but it’s one of Kibo’s favorite things to do.

While most of what would be the region’s ground may be submerged, there are curious hills surrounding it. These rocky outcroppings further add to the mysticality of this place, as if Eyre itself sprung up to cradle the great tree and protect it from nearly all sides. They look to be topped with rolling green grasses, though Kibo’s never tread the tops himself; it’s hard to get up there! 

At the end of the day, once the brilliant blue sky has dipped into a deep navy hue, Kibo falls asleep and dreams of swirling colors.
