The scene was certainly quite picturesque, with Levi approaching the waves and jumping quite high and fast to and fro as they threatened to wet his paws. In truth, it was the first time he had ever seen ocean waves, and he was more accustomed to lakes or lava rivers than the wet environment of the Pau'Au Islands.

He was also not convinced by the impression of wearing his fur full of sand all the time, but there were many things about the place that he liked.

For example, he had finally been making several sand castles with Thea and they had ended up decorating them with shells. The sand castles were probably going to be part of the beach for quite a while, until the tide washed them away at night because they had made them quite close to the shore. But for the moment, they were the perfect reminder of a good summer day.

He had also enjoyed finding a nice beach umbrella with the leaves of the palm trees along the shore. They had been there for quite a while, but they had really managed to create a little makeshift corner where they could take refuge in the shade and stare at the sea quietly.

Finally, to end the scene on a high note, it was necessary to point out how they had first tried to reach the top of the palm trees by climbing.

In principle it would have seemed a simple task, because he had a lot of experience in climbing rocks and walking along steep areas, but there was no practical comparison with having such ease and climbing a palm tree trunk. For one thing, they were much taller than they looked if you looked at them from the ground. To continue, you had to get a good look at the trunk and that was not a good idea. But since he made it all the way to the top after several careful attempts, he also took down a couple of coconuts to see how they tasted.

All in all, it was a pretty lively, uneventful and enjoyable day.
