Daim isn’t a great fan of festivities.
The Starfall faire is awfully loud during the day and the fireworks at night only hurt his sensible ears.
This night, almost all the adults and children of the caravan went to the festival.
Almost.
Faeryfinn, the kyunru, stayed around in the forest to comfort the wildlife that may be scared of the explosive sounds.
Ebenin stayed at usual in his roulotte telling everyone that spending so much money into smoke was only insane… And Milka.
Milka was still infected with his sadness and had no heart to go in town to celebrate. And Yaos hadn’t the heart to go and let his dad alone and sad.

But Yaos did enjoy faires and parties. Daim knew it, as they often talked about this difference between them. It made Yaos laugh, each single time.
Daim has earned a little bit of money while working with Tendo theses last weeks. He hadn’t a clue about what doing with it, but the fisher nin insisted for him to keep it, and wait until an opportunity shows.

Daim bought some pink lanterns to the Lantern’s crafter, Mahana, and carefully hung them in all the blossoming trees of the hill where the view would be the best to watch the fireworks.
He also bought two boba teas to Miko, the sweet-maker, because they would be easier to keep them cool than ice creams until the show starts.
And when it was about to start, while Milka has felt asleep in his roulotte, he knocked softly at the door and took Yaos by the hand to lead him up on the hill, where the city’s lights and the fire show could be seen.
