To Marco, Ealei is quite a contrasting opposite to the region of Bellmoril. 

One of the most noticeable features of Ealei that Marco would be quite drawn in by is the fact that the cities are built not on solid ground but in tree houses hovering over the salty water below. With little land to build on, the residents of Ealei had to make due with creating their own ground to walk on. The treehouse cities are primarily built out of wood as there arent many areas with dirt or grass to sink your paws into as you walk around. The cities are also built high into the sky, as the trees in the region have grown tall and the residents needed to make sure the cities were built high enough above the water so waves dont splash up against walkways and houses, and there’s little risk of flooding should it rain.

At first, Marco would be hesitant to go up onto the sky bridges made of wood. He’s used to much more solid ground, so he would have to slowly ease himself up the stairs onto the walkways. Once he’s up high and sees that the wooden walkways are sturdy, he’d be completely enamored by the cities. Marco would be curious to look over the handiwork of the Ealei residents and see how they made the wooden walkways and the houses up in the trees ( mostly out of curiosity, but knowing how they were made would also put his mind at ease that they were crafted carefully and there was little chance of him falling through a broken piece of wood due to poor craftsmanship). He would also be excited to go up to the highest point of the city he’s in and get a view of the surrounding area. Being used to the yellows, reds, and brows on his home region, seeing all the water and green trees would fill him with delight and wonder. Marco would be interested in checking out the waters below but for now, he’d be content with staying up high and taking in the view while exploring all the tree houses.
