In the surf of Silveil's starry lake Theia came upon the lakes natural semi-aquatic critter known as the Starry Salamander. These small creatures eat insects found near the shore of the lake. Their softly glowing markings help camouflage them from predators when they are swimming in their home waters. The transparent membrane surrounding their proto-gills on their head and on their back contains a gel substance that keeps both the gills and their skin hydrated when they are out of the water.
