Even if what happened last month could be called more an accident than anything else, at least Lyra befriended the people at the local fishing spot. Things were going smoothly until some of them reported some strange sightings in the lake, creatures that liked to eat petals...? Some foreign animals introduced by other people? Lyra couldn't leave this unattended and decided to find out on her own what was the deal with these new fish, just to find that they weren't fish at all. She was lucky they were friendly enough, and pretty interested on her ears!
