Today’s lesson was a good one. Mostly because it was done.

The sun was playing in the red leaves of the trees and thanks to a small opening of the window, Ricqlès could hear the joyful songs of the birds outside.

Such a pity.
He would have loved to go outside with his book to feel the sweet air all around. But it was the miasma season and he couldn’t help that.

He gazed at Enoki, his friend. The white kittom was deeply absorbed in his lecture.
There was no way to distract him for now… He would probably have to wait until sunset to pretend he was hungry and that they both needed something to eat.

Enoki was so serious, and his skills were improving so fast !

Ricqlès felt a bid bad. Why wasn’t he able to focus like his friend ? Why his mind did escape EACH time he saw the sunny sky through the windows ?

Come on, boy. You can do it.

He sat better on the chair and get back to the heavy tome in front of him. It was about some ancient artifact in a snowy region. Strynhalde.
It was a complex work that could be fuelled by mana of course but also… snowflakes.
He wrote down some notes and continued to read about this strange Strynhalde discipline, and thoses mages that could use snowflakes as if they were complex sigils.
There was a picture.
It was showing the mages at work, forming a circle with ice shards on a very geometric and fractal pattern but also… The sky.

It was the same sky than here, clouds looked the same, and he asked himself how could it look to have the sun shining on the snow ? Would the snowflakes shimmer ?
It should be beautiful…

His head and will heavily collapsed on the illustrated page, Ricqlès dreamt of a lovely trip in a wonderland landscape with snowflakes shaped like stars shimmering under a playful sun.
