She opened the window, letting in a gust of fresh air fill the room. As she looked out at the beautiful sunrise she knew this would be a beautiful day. Bix was going to visit her dear friend Jayce of which she did a lot of favors for and adventures with. Today was just like a memory of the past when Jayson had brought her to see and study a mana well that had appear in the outskirts of Il'durahn. Her face started to glow as she reminisce of the beauty of those anima crystals. Indulging in the past often brought joy to Beatrix about her days as a kittom where the world was full of wonder and adventure.

"Jayce!!!!!!!!" She yelled outside his window. She had heard wonders from him and read through some of his books about mana wells and she was absolutely delighted to be able to accompany him to study it. Kittoms weren't always allowed to follow the adults on all their adventures but today she got to go along. She was jumping up and down and singing softly to herself " adventure, adventure today we ADVENTUREEEE" in front of his door. Bix was all set and ready with her little backpack and especially her travel journal which had been gifted to her by Jayce when she got put in his care. He finally made it out his door and patted her on the head "Ready little one?". With a loud shriek that the whole neighborhood probably heard "YIPEEEEEEE" she yelled. Jayce shrugged for a moment and the laughed wondering to himself if he had ever been that excited as a kittom about adventuring. "Let's get going then" he said to her as he check if her pack was well secured.

Beatrix sang to herself about adventuring on their way to the reported site where the anima crystals and strange occurrence had been happening. The road there had been pretty easy going and nothing strange happened. Which was a huge relief to Bix since her last adventure had been pretty scary. She had only started forgiving Jayson especially when he promised her a fun trip this time. Her blue eyes started glowing golden as they got nearer to the place. To her eyes it was absolutely the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. Gold and amber crystal filled the place, it was almost as if the sun had left a little piece of itself here or that is what she believed when she kept admiring the wonder. He smiled at her fondly and nudged her after letting her admire in wonder the spectacle. "Don't forget what we came here for Bixy" he said softly to her. She nodded her head in agreement and sat down getting into her packsack as she took out her journal. Jayce had brought with him a few instruments to inspect the crystals and fauna around that also had been affected by the mana well. He slowly handed her another journal that he had brought with him after having set up his equipment.  " Here Beatrix we have to record our findings in here". A Royal Elnin had asked for the research and she felt extremely proud to had been included in documentation. It's not often they asked for anything or that other Elnins actually got to assist them. As she was about to start writing what Jayce was telling her she looked at her hand in amazement. Bix hadn't noticed how they also started to glow her brown fur now seemed mostly golden. Before she even finished admiring the affect a butterfly came to rest on her hand. If it's wings hadn't been flapping she could have sworn it had been crafted of gold. With her left paw she came to touch it to see if it was indeed a real butterfly and before she could touch it, it flew away. She wondered to herself if she would ever see something of the sort ever again.

Beatrix looked at the flora around her and started to notice the same affect. It was as if things had been casted in amber or crafted of gold. She wondered what caused such a thing to happen. To her wonder the most precious thing happened next. A small little rabbit made it's way out of the bushes it was almost hard to notice at first since all the surroundings were now all of matching colours. Her eyes blinked at the little furry creature as it slowly hopped towards her. She slowly reached out her hand offering it a carrot she had been munching on. The rabbit slowly got closer moving its little nose and its whiskers glinting in the sun. Beatrix realized that the little furry creature had the biggest lop ears she had ever seen and wondered if it was even natural for a rabbit to have such big ears that they were dragging on the ground. She then pondered if it was an affect of the mana well as she had read that it did funny things to the size of the surroundings. The rabbit decided she was no threat as it started to chew on the carrot and Bix slowly started to reach to pet it softly. She beamed when the little fur ball didn't run away or shiver at her touch. Forgetting what she was actually here for she focused all her attention on the rabbit. They soon became fast friends as she kept offering it food and pets. In time it let her take it in her arms and she then wondered if it would be warmed then usual. No one would ever believe her that she had found a golden rabbit. The day began to past faster then she realized forgetting to document her findings as she simply only paid attention to her furry friend. As she rubbed her face in its fur she said to it " I shall call you Sunny" thinking to herself that it was the perfect name for it. At some point she slowly started to doze off with the little rabbit in her arms as she got tired from playing with it and feeling the warmth of it in her arms.

At some point Jayce had taken as break from analyzing their surroundings and the affect of the mana well to the flora and fauna. He turned around looking for Beatrix to make sure she was still alright and hadn't gotten herself into some sort of trouble. When he noticed she was fast sleep beneath a tree with a little furry creature in her arms. He shrugged slapping his paw on his forehead. "Of course you would little one" he figured the walk to the site had been enough to tire the kittom and maybe the wonder of the adventure and how lively she had been before they even got here was enough to make her nap at some point. Jayson simply smiled at her fondly and wrapped a blanket around the both of them to keep them warm as he went back to his research. He had mostly brought her for the company and to offer her an adventure that she would remember for a lifetime.

Beatrix hadn't noticed time had passed and the day was almost over. Even though the sun was starting the set, she had neither realized as the glow and warmth of the area would make anyone confused of the time of day. She slowly rubbed her eyes as she woke up and then panic set it realizing she hadn't accomplished the task that was asked of her. She wrapped her new friend in the blanket that had been wrapped on her keeping it warm. Holding it in her left arm and getting up on her two back legs she slowly made her way to where he was keeping her head down. When she reached where he was he took her right paw and slowly tucked on his shirt. "Jayce I'..m ..m…mmmm  sorr…yyyy". He turned and rolled her eyes at her "Awake finally are we ?" "I'mmm…….sss…" the tears started to flow from her eyes before she could stop them and she began to sob. He smiled at her and patted her head like he always did " it's alright Bixy we got the research we needed, I hope you enjoyed your day." "Yes … Yes I did !" she started to hop in excitement. He patted her some more "easy now Bix you don't want to wake your new friend now do you?" She smiled at him "nooooooo" and giggled. "OOOOOHHH CAN WE PLEASE KEEP IT PLEASEEEEEE?" He nodded at her, Jayce didn't see the harm in it and anyways it could be used for research purposes wondering if the affect of the mana well would fade from it once it was no longer exposed to it. "Let's go home now the day is almost over" he said to her. "YAY I HAVE A NEW FRIEND SUNNYYYYYYYY" she yelled out in bliss. She stroked softly the rabbit that was still fast asleep in her nestled arms.

As Beatrix remembered that day she began to wonder how Sunny was doing in Jayce care and thought it was the perfect day to go visit them. After all it had been some time since she saw that rabbit. To this day she wondered " Does it still glisten like gold?".
