It was a peaceful morning that Suiko and Alaula chose to venture out to the small shrine by the great lake. To honor the region's Eldertree they brought offerings of handmade bowls and carefully selected stones carved and painted with designs echoing the branches and flowers of Kyendi's ancient tree. After decorating the shrine with their gifts and lighting a pleasant smelling incense, they settled in to take in the rest of the morning in each other's company. A light breeze gently ruffled their fur as sunlight warmed their faces; it was bliss.
