"Though the rains had since receded, the grass felt cold and wet. Under his fur, Tashi could barely feel the cold chill from the clearing night and sat under the peaking stars. The lantern hung with care, tightly tied around his tail as it wiggled around his body. Above him the stars had begun their twinkling dance and he lazily opened one eye to view them. Looking up at the heavens often made him feel small, their gleaming much like his fractal crown over his head which bobbed idly as he closed his eyes again. It was quiet, much more quiet than he would have liked, but what could be done with Konpei busy as his pomu buried safely behind his paper lantern. With a twitch of his tail he yawned and stretched out his front paws, curling around in the grass and sat down again, letting his thoughts wander much like the lantern moving in the wind. Emotions moved back to serene and away from lonely, he'd spend much of his time constructing the simple lantern and here they were together as they had always been. Though deep down Tashi hoped that he would join him again soon, as fun as a lantern walk was it was this serene silence that let his mind wander and his paws unbusy - two of the things he liked the least."
