Silveil City is a bustling and beautiful place to visit. Since the skies are always dark, there’s a certain level of depravity found in this infamous city that wouldn’t normally, perhaps, be found in other more “upright” cities. This region attracts all kinds of people, hopeful ones, gamblers, merchants, panhandlers, “companions”, etc. Because of the night skies, time loses a lot of its meaning here. One could easily enter a gambling establishment with cheese and bread in the knapsack, a wineskin or two, and coin in the pocket, and it’d be a few days before their paws leave that threshold, knapsack empty, wineskin dry, and pockets either very full or very light. Truth be told, pockets rarely stay full in Silveil, the city of lights. The city is known for its Thieves Guild, and many of these bold pickpockets roam the streets, eager to bring a fat purse back to their leader. Distractions abound, with beautiful wares, lithe dancers, festivals constantly ongoing and the promise and lure of lucrative changing fortunes. Thus, if one is unaware for just a moment, one could find themselves with a cut purse or bereft of valuable wares. In dire straits, one would have no other option but to head home, dissatisfied and quite penniless. For the cunning ones, however, Silveil City is the place to hone their craft, pursue their dreams, win a fortune, or promote their wares. The constant flow of people of all races makes it the perfect place to build connections. For merchants, they are able to expand their lines and reach to other regions by connecting to, and building rapport, with the others. If they’re lucky and make the “right” friends, they could even get a chance to explore, or even partake in, the secret black market (but you didn’t hear it from me).
