Need to award Deidra 1AP for Ealei. I was explained to by Tatterpixie why my art did not match Ealei but after a back and forth I was still awarded the AP: https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/843971028/4847678505

#30 Draw or write about your elnin or kittom collecting or stumbling upon some of their favorite flora.

Eyre is home to a variety of flora and with miasma season fading into the past elnin are now finding an abundance of their favorite plants all over the place. Few could be troubled to pick them all with miasma hampering travel and those capable of weathering it have been busy with more important tasks. Now that elnin are getting out more they might even be seeking out specific flora in the area too.

What plants do elnin find? Is it just one very specific plant or multiple kinds? Perhaps they find it and cannot simply leave with just one and promptly stuff their basket full. Do they have a determined walk in their step as they plan to deliver a bouquet to a loved one or guardian? Do their selected flora have significant meaning to other elnin in the area or is it a personal fondness?

Are the flora they find only found in a certain region? What sort of environment does the plant grow in and how does that play into how it looks or has adapted to survive? Near or far elnin surely have something they are fond of.

(If you are claiming AP for a specific region we will be going based off the regional features in the background, not the plant so be sure to still include regional features in your background! Please also keep this in mind if your elnin's favored plant is not from the region they are being depicted in. If you're depicting your elnin carrying around a picked faerie shroud blossom but they are in drawn in a different region like Palu'au this means you will not be able to claim Faerindell AP.

Flora depicted should not have magical effects unless it is something preexisting in elnin lore already, such as a manaberry. Similarly we request flora not native to a region be on the elnin/with them and not growing from the ground or in the background if those plants do not grow typically in that region. This is to keep things clear for our prompt moderators. Thank you!)

❀  A Flower Almost Unnoticed  ❀

Unlike her brothers, Deidra (toyhou.se/4779131.deidra) was not accustomed to the lengthy traveling her mother was prone to do. She tried to be slightly enthusiastic about the idea of going off on an adventure but her mother could see through her facade. "If you don't want to come to Ealei with me you don't have to honey." The tone her mother had used still rung quietly in her ears. The disappointment every child fears from their parent had tugged at Dei's heart strings. How could she refuse? She didn't want to let her mother roam alone. They barely got to spend time together as is. The idea of salt in her ears through...bleh!

It was a quiet travel between Faerindell and Ealei. No bumps, no problems. The moment they arrived Aletta (toyhou.se/1546601.aletta) was very eager to show her daughter her favourite destination when visiting Ealei. The beaches of course!

Deidra stepped onto the slightly damp grass, baffled by the sight before her. "W-wait a minute so this is what Ealei actually is?" The Kittom stomped about, confused by how salty the grass seemed to feel. Had the very blades of earth she stood upon actually absorbed the sea water?

"Yes! Isn't it beautiful?" Aletta laughed and clapped her paws together, "all we need now is a cute little coconut drink and an umbrella and we are set for a day at the beach!"

"Didn't you say we had to be somewhere? You know...that concert thingy you needed to set up?" The Kittom gave her mother a stern look. Unlike her mother she did not shirk her responsibilities when fun was dangling in front of her. She wouldn't lie though, the sunshine felt absolutely lovely on her fur.

"Ohhhhh pssshh" The flowery Elnin waved off the thought of work. "It can wait. You've never seen the beach before! Who knows, you might discover something fantastic~" Aletta ventured closer to the beach, almost about to touch the sand before her daughter gave out a yell.

"WWAAAIIITTT YOU'LL TRAMPLE IT!!"

Aletta froze, unsure what Deidra meant. "W-what's wrong sweetie?"

"Look down! You almost crushed the pretty...err...flower?" The curious Kittom frolicked over to where her mother remained still. She nudged her mother's paw up and pointed towards the odd looking flower beneath her. "Why does it look kinda see-through?"

The Elnin adjusted herself and began to study the flower. "Huh I don't think I've seen anything like this before." Gently Aletta poked at the flower. Despite how fragile it looked the petals actually had some weight to them. "Hmm maybe the mana from the sea sprouted it? Is that how it works?" Aletta pondered the thought. Maybe paying attention to Hartley's (toyhou.se/482235.hartley) ramblings about flowers was a good idea. Oh well!

Deidra couldn't help but smile. Not only was she spending the day with her mother but together they discovered a new flower in Eyre. "What do we call it mum?" The Kittom hopped about excitedly, trying to figure out what they could call it. "Should we report it to the authority? Who do we tell about this???"

Aletta was taken aback by her daughter's sudden burst of energy. She wasn't used to the calm child to have such an aura. "Ohhh hmm...maybe we should go tell a local about it when we return to town?" She suggested, "but you found the flower so you should name it my dear."

Deidra gave it a ponder for a moment or two. "Okay, okay, I got it! We can call it...Ellurei! Ellurei of Ealei!" Deidra laughed, unsure why she thought it was so funny. It did have a very charming ring to it.

Ellurei of Ealei: A flower that is found far and few between on the untouched side of Ealei's famous beaches. The petals absorb tiny bits of mana from the earth, taking on very enchanting colours. It's rumoured that these flowers are so sensitive to mana that their petals can even change colours to reflect the emotions of creatures around it. This is only temporary and the creature must be close to it. Once the creature leaves it takes on the natural colours from the mana of Ealei.
