“I’m almost finished, mom!”

Zimri called out to his mom as he was getting himself ready to go. They stayed at Silveil for a few days for his mom’s work, but he wanted to get a Spritz gift packed up before leaving. She is his sister from the same litter and an annoying one at that. But he tried to get her a nice gift. However, the gift turned out to become a mission when he looked for the right glowing mushroom for her. It had to be nice looking, glowing, and won’t cause any hallucinating spores in the middle of the night. He had to test a few by touching them and went through so many delusions that his mom found him passed out with a mushroom stuffed in his mouth. From his search, after a few days of testing, he found a tiny pink glowing mushroom with yellow specs that he could put in a garden pot. He pokes it, and it starts to glow brightly and smiles. “She’ll like it… and not bite my tail for at least a few months.” Now he was thinking that he’s bribing her, which sounds about right.

He wrapped it up in a box to protect it from the sun and placed it in his knapsack. “Zimri! I’m gonna leave you behind at this point!” Zuri called out to him, and he hurries over to she won’t because she did before. “Sorry! I was packing up still.” The little kittom then walks with his mom as they left the inn from Silveil and began their walk back home to the edge of Palu’au. “We were here for a pretty long time… was it a lot of work?” Stares up at his mom, questioning her as they walked through the dark forest path with mushrooms as their light. “Yeah… the people at your mom’s work is getting very greedy now and wanting more. But they gotta get used to my new lifestyle and family life.” The wild dog nin nods her head, and she smiles down at him. “I wanna take good care of you after all!” It made him happy to hear that as he walks closer to her side. They’re a small family, but he appreciates everything that she has done for him ever since she found him one day alone on the island.

After a long day of traveling, they finally made it back to the island as he can already smell the ocean breeze in the air. Zimri began to look around for her if she’s running around on her own again. She always seems to be by herself or playing with Aurum from time to time. Soon they arrived at their little home, and he stopped outside before stepping inside. “I’ll be back! There’s something I need to do first!” He didn’t let Zuri have the chance to talk back, but he can hear her yelling as he took off.

It was soon becoming the evening now, and he frowns. “Where could Spritz be…?” His tail twists around in feeling nervous. His mom would always scold him for being out at night, and he doesn’t want to be in more trouble than he is. “…Zimri!!!” Like a predator, she pounced him from behind and chewing at his ear playfully. “Ahhh!! No, no, get off of me!!” He panicked more than usual because of what he was carrying in his knapsack and shakes her off. The kittom rubbed his ear and quickly looked inside his knapsack. He was glad to see that the box is not crushed after that pounce attack and stares at her with a deadpan gaze. “You know.. that’s not the best way to make new friends.” “Hmph! And what about you? Your only friend is your moooom~! At least I have Aurum.” Now he was getting pissed off at her and tried to remember why he was trying to be nice in the first place. “Y’know, I was trying to be nice to you and give you this.” He grabbed the small box and just shoved it to her without saying much. “Here, spray it with water often to keep it moist and in the dark. Bye!” He huffs and walks away back to his home.

The colorful kittom stares at her brother in confusion about what he was talking about. She took it back to her empty home and her room, not bothering when her parents are ever coming back. Sitting in her room, she opened it up, and her eyes widen in seeing that it was a pink mushroom growing on a piece of bark in a small soil garden pot. “Oh, wow… from Silveil too.” Spritz reaches her little paw over and pokes it, and her eyes widen in seeing how it starts to glow brightly in her room and smiles. “That’s… nice of him.”
