Starling was honestly surprised that they managed to make it on time! She brought the orphans to Faerindell to explore the country side, their first stop is the capital, where currently a festival is happening. The children gazed around in wonder at all the bright blooming flowers and fairy lights, a couple of the older ones reaching their hands out to graze some of the larger, overhanging faerie shrouds. Her eyes landed on a kittom she was particularly worried about, Lamb. The bright blue nin has shown no interest in making any friends with the other orphans and only ever clings around her sister or adults, appearing to prefer more mature nins. Her gaze traveled a litttle further back where a brown and blue nin sat, staring at Lamb with a look of admiration. Starling smiled, kids are sometimes strange, but she knows Wolf just really wants to be her friend.

After the cart settled to a stop and some of the older kids were assigned to watch the other kittoms, Starling approached Lamb and smiled, taking her paw, "Hey little lamb, come with me for a moment before you run off to play with the others."

Lamb looked up at the purple nin curiously, wondering what the she-nin could want with her before nodding and following to were Starling lead her. They walked quietly together down the cobble pathways, night had fallen by the time they finally got every ready to explore the festival, so the area was light yellow from all the lights and lanterns, colors bouncing off all the freshly bloomed flowers. Lamb gazed off staring brightly at all the pretty bouquets sitting in the window sills of shops and special made masks that some kittoms and their parents wore while running around and playing the festival games. Starling smiled and bought Lamb a small tiny broach, it was simple with a purple diamond shaped gem, the same shade as Lamb's anima, which was surrounded by golden metal arranged to look like a flower, with the gem being it's center. She knelt down and clipped it onto Lamb's cloak, removing the bobby pin originally holding it together.

Lamb smiled happily," Thank you headmaster!" Starling smiled back and told her she was more than welcome as they continued on their way to a local park.

The Archway to the entrance of the park was made of metal that had tons of flowers encasing it, you almost wouldn't know it had a metal frame if there wasn't some bits of a green copper poking out in some spots. The cobble path continued into the park, small bushes lined the path now however, and off in the distance the two could see a quant little pond. The two sat together down on a bench overlooking the pond, small frogs croaked and crickets chirped making the atmosphere more surreal. Pure white lilies sat on top of lush green lily pads that floated on the pond's surface, some had tiny little light orbs inside the petals, making them appear to glow and shimmer on the waters surface.

"Little lamb, why don't you ever go play with the other kids? I'm sure you've noticed the way Wolf looks at you? He really is a sweet kid, he just wants to be your friend." Starling started, gently looking down at Lamb.

Lamb grimaced and looked away, pouting, "Wolf is such a goofball and an idiot. I don't want to be seen with someone who constantly makes a mockery of himself. I have to be proud and strong if I ever want to make it as a Pathfinder when I'm older!"

Laughing, Starling patted Lamb's head, much to the kittom's dismay. "You know, Wolf wants to be a Pathfinder too when he's older right?"

The purple nin laughed even harder when she saw the shocked and disgruntled look on Lamb's face. "He wants to be the kind of Pathfinder that takes the weight of the team on his shoulders. He wants to protect everyone, so they don't die to leave their children as orphans."

Lamb looked up at Starling, her purple eyes sparkling. "He really is stupid..." She said emotionlessly "But at least it's a good reason to be stupid."

Starling was startled by that response," Even though you are just a kid, sometimes you can be a little cruel, you know that." She chuckled, jokingly "If I wouldn't know any better, with how much you know about him, you sure do like him too don't you?"

"Wha- No way, headmaster! I couldn't ever like someone so brazen!" Lamb blushed, burring her face into her hands.

Plucking a red spider lily from the area near the bench, Starling smiled, and treaded the flower into Lamb's hair. "You know this festival is about gathering a flower or flowers and having them enchanted by one of the druids here. They'll last forever."

Lamb glanced up at the purple nin, "And why are you bringing this up now?" but she was only confused when Starling smiled and turned her head away, standing up.

"You'll see" She said walking off further down the path.

Pouting, Lamb sighed and looked back out to the pond, only to jolt up in dismay. There Wolf was, waist deep into the water grinning holding a lily pad in his had while walking toward her. She screamed as frogs hopped off of him toward her as she lightly dodged out of the way. To her dismay, Wolf placed the whole lily pad on top of her head.

"There! You look even cuter now! You should go get it enchanted so you'll have a nice hat for the rest of your life!" Wolf laughed and yet screamed when Lamb jumped on him, knocking them both into the water. The liquid splashed up soaking anything near by as the two rolled in deeper into the pool.

"I'm going to make you ever regret you did that you stupid wolf!!" Lamb shouted as Wolf choked on some accidentally inhaled water.
